Handbook
This Handbook in the framework of the TOUREG project pretends to:
  • Network all the actors from both the tourism and the R&D sector to facilitate knowledge exchange, and demonstrate that collaboration will make the tourism industry more flexible and competitive. Also, it will help the R&D sector to expand by opening new markets.
  • Promote the competitiveness in the tourism sector through the use of new technologies in energy, environmental and especially on Information and Communication.

This Handbook is addressed to:
  • Small and Medium Tourism Enterprises (SMTE), with the objective of describing the reasons of why they should be aware of the importance of new technologies and innovations and motivating them to be innovative. We present all the features and strategies that should be fulfilled to implement technologies in the most effective and efficient way.
  • Research, Technology and Development (RTD) suppliers. The handbook encourages this industry to invest on adapting their technologies and innovations to SMTEs, as this could be a new, wide and very interesting industry to focus their production on. It includes all the different fields that can be exploited in this market, the strategies they should follow and the points to be taken into account to face the needs of the tourism sector.
  • Activities based on new technologies or R&D activities
  • Policy makers and public institutions in Innovation and Tourism policies.
  • All persons concerned by the competitiveness and sustainability of the Tourism Sector.
